It's all based on their algorithm. Depends how much you fuel up etc. Last month I had no offer. This month they offer me this..

@Stupido I guess it’s not totally gone out of our 2 accounts 1 have a Shell offer for 40 Bonus AM with 3 Fill up of 30L and the 4th fill up 30L another 40 AM. I did not used this account to buy gas last month except for the flash offer because the offer was not good .

The account that does not have a gas offer is the offer that’s linked to my BMO CC that get 7 cents off . Not sure if I will fill up at shell as yet unless there is a better offer coming later

Did you use your AM card at shell last month with no offer available?
Wonder if they reward following month with an offer for use or non use of AM card at shell in prior month

I did gas up at Shell in July. Only once over 30L for the 1 mile/L promo. I did do a few $10 redemption as well though in the month.

I used to use the bonus AM offer religiously for over a year and as of July and August 2024 I haven't received an offer.

AM has become a pretty crappy rewards program and if it weren't for the fuel discount I get at Shell with the app and my CAA membership, I'd probably stop filling up at Shell.

Does anyone know if there is a thread on RFD about the best gas/rewards combos? I've heard PC Optimum and Esso can be decent.

Once the Jays promo is over, Triangle + Petro Points is the next best. But its even more complicated than Shell, believe it or not. I'm not sure if i'll switch though since I have so many AM to burn.

That would be their algorithm.

Everyone has to realize airmiles can't stay at the same level forever. They had a new breath of life last year and pumped out a ton of promos with immense value. Now they're probably trying to see how they can keep people but drop the value. For these airmiles promos as an example, they dropped the frequency and dropped the value. If nobody bites, they'll probably move it up a bit. If the same amount are still participating they'll either keep it as the new standard or keep lowering it.
For me personally in 2024 I've gone to Shell less often (especially for 30L+ fills) as their price hasn't been competitive enough with Costco to make it worth it. I tend to go only when a decent promo makes up the gap and/or when I don't want to use my money and just burn miles $10 at a time.

We have 3 accounts and used to get offers for all of them, then last month, only 2 left and then this month only 1 left. I guess by September we will have nothing just like yours

Two can play at that game - I offloaded the majority of my miles (have about 5% remaining) when they allowed unlimited Dream to Cash conversions and spent it all at Metro before they departed.

I'll take their low hanging fruit offers going forward, but if those dry up, I'm gone.

I received the 90 BAM from the big redemption event, but not the 100BAMfrom the Cardlinked offer at Dollarama for spending $10 on July 16 - 19, even though some people have received it in last few days. May bé they confused with the cardlinked offer for Dollarama at end of June?
